My experience learning english at university

Hello everyone! for today I'm going to talk about my experience learning english at university. This is a really important topic for me, because I always considered  like a very bad person in english. I don´t know "why?", but  I have always had problems with express my ideas.

I think that my experience learning english en at university was very productive, because the method of teaching was very different to the one I was accustomed to dealing in the school. I have to say that It was a good change, because in these three year of career I have learned much more than in the school.

The activity of write, read others blog and write comments, helped me a lot to practice and improve my english's vocabulary. Furthermore, the topics of the activities in the blogs were very simple and interesting, and this made the activities were much easier.

I consider that I have many more aspects that I need to improve.... in my pronunciacion, the  grammar, etc. But I planing improve in the summer, doing cotidian activities like watch movies in english without the subtitles or reading some interesting article. The last example is really interesting, because I think that one of the principal reason because I feel that improved my english it was because since I have arrived to this university, I have needed read in english for differents subjects. although initially this practice was really complicated for me, eventually, little by little I became accustomed to it...

And this is all for today, have a great end of the academic year! :D

2014: Good and bad points

Helloo!! for today I'm going to talk about  the Good and bad points of this year  2014.

I couldn't believe how fast time flies, It seems like only yesterday that I was in the first class of the university... But, now I am in the third year of anthropology. The end of the year is approaching fast, nevertheless there are many things yet to be done.

In my personal opinion,  this year has been really difficult for my family, because a important number of closest family members are died... and that was very difficult, in special for my father. Furthermore, one of the best good things that have happened in my life was the birth of my niece "Mimi". She is the most importan thing of this year for me.

in the middle of the year, I wrote a to-do list. I don't know "Why?", maybe, because I was a little disoriented and confused... But, I think that was a very good idea, because the to-do list helps me focus and not forget the most importan things. As to date, I have half of my to-do list. It not the big deal if I cannot finish the to-do list... in reality, I am very happy with the things I have achieved. This year was very important for my personal growth, I feel more confident with myself, and "this", im my opinion, is a very big  achievement.

And that was all for today :D

I see you in the next wekend!!

How green are you?

Helloo!! for today I'm going to talk about the environment and how green I am. The first enviromentally friendly practices that I learned, was in the school, when de teacher explained us about the important of this practices for the future. in the schol I learned to recycle the papper or the bottles.
Really,  I don't participate in some group or association in favour of the ecology or recycle. I think that my participation is more expressive in daily things like ...I don't know,  I try to use always only one clothing bag, but sometimes I forget it. Also, I try to recycle paper, I gift my old photocopy, this may sound stupid but is very big the number of photocopy that one student produce, specially social scientist student. And, normally I use my legs for transport. I have the lucky of live very near of the university.
I don't know what is missing in our society... maybe, I would say it "we need more environmental awareness", but the true is that in this moment all the society is awareness in some grade about the big environment problems.  It's happening, we see it all days, the trash, the smog, etc . But, we don't take it the really responsability.

I think is very importan to know about environmental porblems, because actually the world is suffering great changes because of human, and this changes is affecting all tipe of life in the world, because all is connecting and the changes in the climate, for example, produce the extinction of differents species.

My Future Job

Hello! for today I'm going to talk about my future job. As I said before in other post,  I like to continuos my study in ethnomusicology, because I love the music topics, related with popular or folclore traditions.  IT is for this reason that I like to work in a job which is linked to the music... I have no idea about what specific topic, but considering my career I think in some like a ethnographic research or for some institution like culture's ministry, culture house... or I don't know... in the university?.   The true is that I have no idea about my future. Ok,  I doubt that anyone knows as a known fact what the future holds, but  What I mean is that it is really difficult for me say it. Sometimes I think about the topic and I imagine my dream job... and  be honest with myself, I think that I want to work playing music,  travelling for many counters, meeting differents and interesting people, etc. And not  only investigating other peoples for specific oportunities... I like my career, but sometimes I feel that is very difficult think get a good job for me..  wich makes me happy, but also I think that I will not gain anything stressed in this manner. Finally, the most important is not foget that I will do what will make me happy,

Free post: Mecànica popular

Hello! for today I'm going to talk about a free topic, for this reason I going to talk about one of my favourites bands in the life, they called "Mecánica Popular".

Mecanica popular was a chilean rock  band in 1998 - 2006. The original members of the band was: Marco Chaves, Diego Alvares, Mario Villalobos and Manuel garcia. After, Christian Bravo and Ronnie Gutiérrez became members, and Marco Chaves and Mario Villalobos leave the band.

Ángel Rogel Álvarez a reporter of chilean music, in his book "La Mecánica de la música popular" (The mechanics of popular music") described to the band like a: “el secreto mejor guardado del rock chileno” (the best secret to the chilean's rock). And in my opinion, I agree, because its a really good band. In the short time that they work together, they made trhee fantastic works.

Mi favourite record of this band is "La casa de Asteriòn" (the Asterion's house). All disc is inspired in a story of the argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges. its a really good disc.

I really hope that this band consider get together to play music... :c.

And now I show you a video of the band, of a concert in Antofagasta's city.

But now, I have other reasons, like france it's the cradle of ethnomusicology, and I would like to continue my studies in this country, but that it's only a dream...

Other country I would like to go is Japan, because always seems to a strange and  fascinating country, the oriental culture have many differents aspects in many different things. Furthermore, I always  think that the most spectacular arquitecture of the world is in the Asian continent, one of the dream of my life is visit the china's wall.

I don't know if in this moment I have enough courage for travelling alonne to these countries, for this reason I think that first, I have to travelling to latinoamerican countries and know more about the differents cultural contexts of my country. I know a little number of cities in Chile.
